Pereira’s Insurance Law Article Published in The Advocate

Jennifer Pereira’s article titled, “Disclosure of Material Facts in Insurance Applications  – a Review of Zheng v. John Galon Services Ltd.” appears in the March 2017 issue of The Saskatchewan Advocate.

Pereira’s Article on Material Disclosure Published in Canadian Underwriter

The Canadian Underwriter recently published Jennifer Pereira’s insurance law article on material disclosure.  The article references the recent Provincial Court decision Zheng v. John Galon Insurance Services Ltd. which ruled in favour of SGI and Galon Insurance Brokers. In the decision the Saskatchewan court found that a plaintiff knew, or should have known, that his decision to rent to tenants was material to the risk of insuring his home.
