Misty Alexandre and Jared Epp jointly presented “Don’t Get Burned by Bid Law – Top Tips to Avoid Disqualified Bids” as a Lunch and Learn session for the Saskatoon Construction Association on February 28, 2020.  Topics covered included the basic principles of bidding and tendering law along with how to avoid common but completely avoidable errors that result in disqualified bids.

The Saskatchewan Branch of the Canadian Bar Association represents over 1,200 lawyers, judges, notaries, law teachers and law students from across the province. As part of their mandate to provide quality training and information to members of the legal profession, the Association holds annual Mid-Winter Meetings in Saskatoon or Regina.

The 2020 Mid-Winter meetings included a presentation by Christopher Donald and Patricia Warsaba titled “Contract Drafting Fundamentals: It is Fun and Not Just for Solicitors”.  The 90 minute session centred on the complexity of drafting a contract for a constantly evolving business world.

Al Haubrich is Kiwanian of the Year 2019

Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.  It is the umbrella organization for community clubs such as the Kiwanis Club of Saskatoon which has been serving the children of our city for over one hundred years.

The Kiwanis Club of Saskatoon has recognized the dedication and talents of Al Haubrich by awarding him the Kiwanian of the Year Award. Al has been a member of the Saskatoon club for twenty-five years, including a term as President, and continues to work hard to support and promote its local projects.
