Robertson Stromberg is pleased to announce that Tim Hawryluk is among those being honoured with the Queen’s Counsel designation for contributions to the legal profession and public service.

Don Morgan, Saskatchewan Attorney General and Minister of Justice named the seventeen recipients on December 18.   “These individuals have shown exceptional merit and contribution to the legal profession and to our communities.  We’re honoured to recognize their hard work by appointing them as Queen’s Counsel.”  Besides Minister Morgan, the Queen’s Counsel selection committee includes the chief justice of the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal or Court of Queen’s Bench and the past presidents of the Saskatchewan branch of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Saskatchewan.

Sinclair and Steele Present to “Wills, Estates and Elder Law” Group

Sean Sinclair and James Steele presented on September 20, 2017 before the Saskatoon Canadian Bar Association’s “Wills, Estates and Elder Law” group meeting.  Sean and James provided a litigation perspective on the law and practice of challenging a Will, whether for alleged incapacity or undue influence.

James Steele is Published in Statute Law Review

Congratulations to James Steele who has published a scholarly article in the Statute Law Review, an academic law journal published by the prestigious Oxford University Press. The focus of the journal is on the drafting and interpretation of statutes. James’ article titled, “Statutory Forebears: Legislative Evolution as a Means of Statutory Interpretation” will appear in an upcoming issue.
