Al Haubrich is Kiwanian of the Year 2019

Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.  It is the umbrella organization for community clubs such as the Kiwanis Club of Saskatoon which has been serving the children of our city for over one hundred years.

The Kiwanis Club of Saskatoon has recognized the dedication and talents of Al Haubrich by awarding him the Kiwanian of the Year Award. Al has been a member of the Saskatoon club for twenty-five years, including a term as President, and continues to work hard to support and promote its local projects.

Congratulations Al.

Candice Grant Contributes to our Community

Saskatoon City Council recently appointed five new members to the board of directors of the Remai Modern art gallery. This is a crucial time for the two-year old Remai Modern as they are about to fill various key leadership positions in the near future.

Among those taking on this responsibility is Robertson Stromberg’s Candice Grant. Candice continues to give back to the community while managing her busy practice and family life.  Candice served as Saskatoon Public Library board chair until her term expired earlier this year.

Scott Waters, Q.C.

Congratulations to Scott Waters who is among those honoured with the Queen’s Counsel designation for 2019.

“The Queen’s Counsel designation is a tradition that honours those lawyers who have demonstrated superior legal ability and outstanding public service,” Justice Minister and Attorney General Don Morgan said.  “I’m proud to be able to recognize their hard work and dedication, not only to the legal profession, but to communities across our province.”
