Gerspacher Contributes to Law Society Professional Development Program

The Law Society of Saskatchewan will host Tax Law for Corporate and Commercial Lawyers,  a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program focusing on a cross-section of tax law.  This program will be offered in Regina on November 16th and in Saskatoon, November 19th.  Included in the agenda is Melvin Gerspacher’s analysis of tax concerns for non-profit corporations and charities.

Alexandre and Preston to present to Saskatoon Construction Association

On November 5, 2015, Misty Alexandre and Bill Preston will be the instructors for the “Legal Matters” and “Tendering, Bidding and Award of Contracts” portion of the Construction 101 course sponsored by the Saskatoon Construction Association.  The course is held at Prairieland Park on November 5 and 10 from 8:30am to 4:30pm.     

 

Jennifer Pereira advises Law students

Once again, Jennifer Pereira will be offering advice to UofS College of Law students on how to present themselves outside the classroom.  Her session, Finishing School:  Etiquette Lessons for Life Outside the Classroom, will be a primer on etiquette for receptions and dinners, including introductions, dining skills, appropriate dress, posture and grooming. Jenn will be at the College in Room 150 on October 28, 1:00-2:20.

 

Jennifer Pereira Receives UofS Alumni Achievement Award

Robertson Stromberg is pleased to announce that Partner Jennifer Pereira has been selected to receive a 2015 University of Saskatchewan Alumni Achievement Award.  The Alumni Achievement Awards recognize graduates of the University of Saskatchewan for excellence, leadership, and innovation in their achievements and in their contributions to the social, cultural, and economic well-being of society, which positively reflect on the University of Saskatchewan and the Alumni Association.

This Award acknowledges Jenn’s active community leadership and commitment to her profession.  Her accomplishments are summarized in a profile of 2015 Recipients.  The impressive list of honourees can be found here.

The Awards will be presented at the Alumni Awards Gala to be held at Marquis Hall on October 22, 2015.  Congratulations to all the recipients of this prestigious award.
