M. Kim Anderson, K.C.

Appointed as King’s Counsel in 2013, and our senior litigation partner, Kim Anderson focuses his practice on the areas of Banking and Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring, Insurance, and Municipal Governance and Regulation.

Kim has been recognized by his peers by way of a BV Distinguished rating from Martindale-Hubbell by Best Lawyers in Canada® in Insolvency and Restructuring Law and in Banking and Finance Law, by Benchmark Litigation as Litigation Star and by Lexpert in Insolvency and Restructuring Law.

Kim’s experience and expertise is an asset to the firm and clients alike.

Kim leads our Insolvency and Restructuring Group, routinely advising lenders, debtors, and insolvency practitioners, with a particular emphasis on acting for court-appointed officers.

He also acts on matters involving banking and finance law and acts as a resource to our commercial lawyers on transactional structures and legal opinions.

Kim advises and represents clients on insurance coverage matters, and has an extensive practice working with municipal governments on governance, regulatory and planning and development issues.

Kim also has an ADR practice, holding a Q.Arb. (qualified arbitrator) designation from the ADR Institute of Canada.
